Enoshima is a small offshore island, about 4 km in circumference, at the mouth of the Katase River which flows into the Sagami Bay of Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Enoshima is part of the mainland city of Fujisawa, and is linked to the Katase section of that city by a 600-metre-long (2,000 ft) bridge. Home to some of the closest sandy beaches to Tokyo and Yokohama, the island and adjacent coastline are the hub of a local resort area.
- Very nice environment and especially interesting sunset photos can be formed if you include Mount Fuji into your composition.
- Visibility to the sunset is superb along the western side of the island.
- Enoshima is served by three nearby railway stations: Katase-Enoshima Terminus on the Odakyū Enoshima Line, Enoshima Station on the Enoshima Electric Railway, and Shōnan-Enoshima Station on the Shonan Monorail. You can also drive there directly by car, with several public parking available for tourists.
- It is quite a small island so please expect a certain amount of crowds, but you won’t have any trouble finding space to take sunset photos.
