This is a sculpture of a Clydesdale Horse named the ‘Heavy Horse’ by Andy Scott. It is a well known artwork in Scotland situated beside the M8 motorway between Glasgow and Edinburgh for all the passing vehicles to see. At night it is lit up. It is made out of galvanised steel.
- The heavy horse sculpture helps to make this an extremely interesting and unique sunset location.
- It can be challenging to view the sunset from here especially if needing to include the heavy horse in the photo.
- Nearby Easterhouse railway station gives direct access to the centre of Glasgow and regular local bus services run along Edinburgh Road to the south of the district. Springhill can be accessed from the M8 motorway, using junctions 9 or 10.
- No crowd here at all, it is a rather difficult location to find.
