The Grand Pier is a pleasure pier in Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset, situated on the Bristol Channel approximately 18 miles southwest of Bristol. The pier won the National Piers Society Pier of the Year award in 2001, and again in 2011, becoming the first pier to win the award twice. The pier’s pavilion has been destroyed by fire on two occasions, in 1930 and 2008. The current pavilion opened in 2010.

  • The Grand Pier provides a great setup for nice and unique sunset photos.
  • Visibility to the sunset is awesome without any obstruction.
  • You have to drive here by car, and no, there are no ferry service to the pier.
  • A very spacious beach so you won’t notice any crowd even if there is one, but it is a popular location for family weekend.
