The Helmhaus is an extension of Wasserkirche (Water Church) of Zurich, first mentioned in 1253 as a court of criminal justice, at which time it was a simple wooden structure covering the eastern end of the bridge. It was extended to a larger wooden structure in 1563, and replaced with a stonework hall in 1791.
- The location has a fairly nice view of the church but it doesn’t offer unique features for sunset.
- Visibility to the sunset is good but the horizon is blocked by the buildings nearby.
- It is a walking distance from several railway stations and bus stops.
- No crowds on the bridge although there are quite a lot of pedestrian.
