The Cijin Wind Turbine Park, Cijin Wind Power Park or Cijin Windmill Park is a recreational wind farm in Cijin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The park consists of seven 3-blade wind turbines which generate enough power to provide the park with four hours of illumination during night time. The park also has coastal plants, lawn, viewing platform and a performance square. Cijin Windmill Park connects to Cijin Fishing Port’s tourist trail, serving as the first scenic seaside spot the visitors comes to after entering through Cijin’s gates. Cijin has an abundance of wind, and the Park’s seven three-leaf windmills are always in motion. There is a sea-viewing platform and a performance square in the park, and unique, cute sea life collages, lively and interesting, which have even been called Cijin’s most therapeutic sight.

  • The turbines are interesting but not as good looking as the traditional windmills. Apart from this, the park is rather average.
  • The park has great visibility of the sunset.
  • The island requires a ferry ride from Kaohsiung, otherwise not accessible.
  • Usually little crowds here but expect a few passionate photographers here taking sunset photos.
